Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan upaya pemberdayaan buruh batik di desa Bakaran Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara dan observasi. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa terdapat permasalahan pada penerapan dan langkah-langkah pemberdayaan di desa Bakaran. Selain itu, terdapat pula faktor-faktor penghambat proses pemberdayaan buruh batik yang perlu diselesaikan dengan cara mengubah strategi dan model pemberdayaan yang ada yang sesuai dengan permasalahan yang muncul.
