The Journal of Administrative Science and Local Governance (JIAPD) proudly presents Volume 18 Number 1 (2026), centered on the theme "Public Governance". Published on June 30, 2026, this edition features ten comprehensive research articles highlighting strategic issues in public governance, bureaucratic management, and local policy across Indonesia and the regional scope. A key focus of this issue encompasses bureaucratic transformation and civil service management, including a study on the motivational and hygiene factors of civil servants in Indonesia. Addressing digitalization and transparency, the articles examine the implementation of Law No. 27/2022 on Personal Data Protection in Majalengka Regency, public information disclosure via the PPID website in Tanjungpinang, and a systematic literature review mapping policies and local readiness for the SIPD-RI system.

Social oversight and legal perspectives are thoroughly analyzed through governmental oversight mechanisms aimed at preventing the misuse of social assistance funds for online gambling in Serang City, alongside a comparative legal study on border harmonization and migration laws between Indonesia and Malaysia. Furthermore, local economic development and sustainable tourism are explored in depth, featuring development strategies for Paal Beach in North Minahasa, the optimization of Suladaha Beach to boost Ternate's local revenue, and the socio-economic and environmental impact assessment of tourism in Way Tebing Ceppa, South Lampung. This collection serves as a vital reference for academics, practitioners, and policymakers in advancing responsive, innovative, and sustainable governance. All articles are open access and available via DOI: https://doi.org/10.33701/jiapd.v18i1.
