Abstract

This study aims to analyze corporate excellence at the Grand Gallery Hotel Bukittinggi by looking at the effect of work environment variables on corporate excellence and the effect of soft skills on corporate excellence by using work involvement as an intervening variable. This type of research is a comparative causal research. The population in this study were all employees of the Grand Gallery Hotel Bukittinggi from all divisions, amounting to 45 people. In this study, the census method was used, namely by giving questionnaires to the entire population of 45 people consisting of employees of all divisions at the hotel. The data analysis technique in this study uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis which is operated based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with the SmartPLS 3.0 tool. The results of the study indicate that the work environment variable has a positive and significant effect on corporate excellence indirectly, soft skills have a positive and insignificant effect on corporate excellence with work involvement as a mediating variable, with a supportive work environment and high employee soft skills can help corporate excellence for the better at Grand Gallery Hotel Bukittinggi.
