Vol. 10 No. 2 (2025): Government and Innovation
Various studies in the field of Governmental Studies demonstrate that innovation and modern governance are key factors in strengthening government capacity to address increasingly complex social dynamics. Community empowerment as a means of building social resilience, as reflected in the innovation of the Brayut Tourism Village, demonstrates that the government can increase local competitiveness through collaboration with the community and the development of asset-based potential. A similar approach is evident in the analysis of public service quality, both through the SERVQUAL model at the Dukun Community Health Center and the evaluation of services at the city's Public Service Mall, which emphasize the importance of service innovation in increasing public satisfaction and trust.
From a legal and ethical perspective, the issues of legalizing social sanctions for corruption and protecting personal data in electronic contracts demonstrate that policy innovation also encompasses regulatory updates to address governance challenges in the digital era. Meanwhile, studies on civil servant leadership styles provide a foundation that innovation is not only about technology but also about transforming bureaucratic behavior. The concept of collaborative governance as a lever for smart cities presents the perspective that cross-actor collaboration is the foundation of sustainable public innovation. These articles make a significant contribution to the development of Governmental Studies, particularly in enriching understanding of how governments respond to change through policy innovation, service innovation, and strengthening social capacity. Thus, these studies broaden the scientific horizon on adaptive, inclusive, and collaboration-based governance as the main pillars in the development of modern governance.
