This study aims to analyze the spirit of work at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency by looking at the effect of the fairness perception variable on work spirit and the influence of the career path variable on work spirit by using work discipline as an intervening variable. This type of research is comparative causal research. The population in this study was all employees of the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency from all sub-sections of the agency totaling 100 people. In this study, the census method was used, namely by giving questionnaires to the entire population of 100 people consisting of all employees of the sub-section of the agency. The data analysis technique in this study used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis, which was operated based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with the Smart PLS 3.0 tool. The results of the study indicate that the variable of fairness has a positive yet insignificant effect on work spirit indirectly, career path had a positive and significant effect on work spirit with work discipline as a mediating variable, and the fairness and possibility in career paths for employees can make employees’ work spirit better at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency.
