Access, Copyright, and Archiving Policy

Access, Copyright & Archiving Policy

Comprehensive institutional guidelines governing authorship accountability, open access dissemination, copyright retention, and long-term digital preservation.

Authorship Criteria & Contributor Roles (CRediT)

Authorship credit is strictly based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) criteria and the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy). Every individual listed as an author must satisfy all four of the following conditions:

  • Substantial Contribution: Significant intellectual involvement in research conceptualization, methodological design, data curation, or formal empirical data analysis.
  • Drafting & Revising: Drafting the initial manuscript or critically revising it for substantial intellectual content.
  • Final Approval: Giving final approval of the version to be published.
  • Accountability: Agreement to be personally accountable for the integrity, accuracy, and ethical compliance of the entire work.

ℹ️ Individuals providing purely technical, editorial, or financial assistance must be credited in the Acknowledgment section rather than listed as co-authors.

Access Policy & Publication Fees (Diamond Open Access)

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal websites) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Digital Preservation & Electronic Archiving

To ensure permanent digital accessibility and archival safety against server malfunctions or platform migrations, published articles are systematically deposited into multiple distributed preservation repositories:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Decentralized preservation network for OJS journal content.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: Distributed preservation systems that store decentralized cache archives.
  • Portal Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital): National indexation and digital repository of the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
  • IPDN Institutional Repository: Dedicated institutional preservation server maintaining persistent backups.
