The Role of Youth in Enhancing Elementary School Students Knowledge of Anti-Corruption Values: A Study at SDN 55 Gedong Tataan

Abstract

Anti-Corruption Education (ACE) from an early age is a vital foundation for building a nation's character based on integrity. This study aims to analyze the effective role of youth (university students) as Agents of Change in enhancing the understanding of anti-corruption values (honesty and responsibility) among elementary school students. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted at SDN 55 Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, involving Grade VI A students as subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observation, as well as pretest and posttest administration. The results indicate that the youth-led educational intervention, utilizing participatory and experiential learning methods such as drama performance, was highly effective. A significant improvement in students' cognitive understanding was observed, yielding a high N-Gain Score of 0.71222. Furthermore, the activity successfully triggered affective and behavioral changes, where students showed increased discipline and emotional commitment to the value of integrity. Thus, youth hold a crucial role as a bridge that transforms academic knowledge into practical moral implementation, ensuring the formation of a generation that is honest and responsible from an early age.
