Dampak Non-Evidence-Based Policy terhadap Penanganan Banjir di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil

Artikel ini membahas dampak kebijakan yang tidak berbasis evidensi dalam penanganan banjir di Aceh Singkil, di mana masalah banjir tahunan semakin memburuk meskipun telah ada rekomendasi dari Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (Kemen PUPR). Rekomendasi utama berupa pembangunan tanggul pengendali banjir ditinggalkan oleh kepemimpinan lokal yang baru, yang lebih memilih opsi pengerukan sungai meski tidak memiliki dasar ilmiah. Penelitian ini menganalisis dinamika politik dan dampak dari perubahan kebijakan ini, serta menyoroti bagaimana pengabaian solusi berbasis bukti dapat menyebabkan banjir yang lebih parah dan kerugian sosial ekonomi yang lebih besar. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya mengikuti rekomendasi ahli untuk mitigasi risiko bencana yang efektif.
