Abstract

ABSTRACT

Bureaucracy study of historical aspect in Lombok Tengah regency is trying to dig some historical
values which are still relevant in this era of globalization and regional autonomy towards achieving
the vision and mission which is a fair and prosper society. Some of the dimensions of the study are
politics, social, economy and development as reflection of effort trying to achieve nation and state goals.
The purpose of this study is to know the development of bureaucracy in Lombok Tengah regency from
historical aspect and to know the cause of rise and fall a government on particular period. The method
of this study is descriptive analysis with qualitative, historical and normative approach. The result and
conclusion of this study are showing that Lombok Tengah government is continuation of local government
with modern concepts and having risen and fall with the invasion of domination and subjugation
of other nation and group. The lack of sense of unity and integrity as well as the emergence of various
intrigues that grow into defamation that if not addressed wisely will cause further destruction. Bureaucracy
as unifying, development and renewal agent for people prosperity really matters on history. We
can’t abandon that role in order to prevent disobedience and uninvited foreign interference.
