Abstract

Disaster is an event or series of events that threaten and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods caused by both natural and / or non-natural factors and human factors resulting in the occurrence of human casualties, environmental damage, property loss, and psychological impact. Disaster is no longer considered a sporadic phenomenon, but as much as possible the disaster is managed and reduced. Various initiatives to improve community knowledge and preparedness in anticipating the disaster began in Indonesia at various levels of administration. In order to protect the community from the great loss in the disaster it is necessary to have knowledge of the preparedness that is a series of activities that must be known by the citizens of the family to prepare themselves to anticipate the disaster situation quickly and appropriately.
